Well I am very excited to have this brand new model by Overland. It is gorgeous!! I have paid $575 so far and I owe a little less than $200 and it will be on its way to me. I will be paying the remainder on Friday. I surely cant wait. What do you think of it?

This is truly my biggest train purchase but I wanted it so bad. The cool thing is I was able to pay on it rather than come up with the cash upon purchase ya know. That is why I purchased it too.
Does anyone know if these units come plug and play decoder or is it goin g to be a hardwire as I did in my dash 8-40CW Overland?

I actually have number #8324 WITH THE RED SILL.

Well, I admit, its beyond my budget. By alot. LOL. But man, that is freakin beautiful . And your right, that could be the modern day version of a brass Big Boy.

Best Regards, Big John

I wish I could afford their Bush 41 model. A little too rich for my budget.

Hello again, me mastiffdog? By the way my name is Bill Evans if you are asking me.

Well I have the budget because I just retired about three months ago from a long life of Public Utilities so life is good for now. I wanted two but that budget would not allow for it.

ive alwayse admired brass. what you paid is out of my price range by about $574.99. it better come with DCC for that much. (who runs DC and brass?) i think the name modern day big- boy might stick. in my opinion, that title belings to the ALCo Century 855. its so butt ugly, but just the 5,500 horsepower made it beautiful.

looking nice! biggest engine i have ever owned was a SD40-2, remarkably i have it back! any way the SD70ACe looks really nice, pricy but must be worth it.
derailment? what derailment? All reports of derailments are lies. Their are no derailments within a hundreed miles of here.

Congratulations in advance! She is a beauty.

Re: Analogy to the Big Boy.

The SD70ACE is a high horsepower giant, but in comparison to size and service this is more like the Greyhound Challenger. The "modern" diesel equivilent to the Big Boy would more realistically be the EMD SD90.

Please, let us know when you get it.

May you enjoy for years to come!

Toy Train Heaven sent me an email indicating they have Tower 55 units in stock and on sale with DCC and sound. No sound bites on their web site though.
