Lame Train Show
Posted by WickhamMan on Saturday, February 4, 2006 3:58 PM
I've been taking my son to Greeberg shows for the past couple of years. This month's show in Atlanta was particularly lame. There was almost no HO train vendors and those that were there sold for near or above MSRP. If I was looking for some old Tyco crap, this was the place. Otherwise, a big waste of time.

The show was filled with "toy" vendors selling wind-up cars and the like. I'm afraid with the internet and other ways to save on purchases, this may be the last show we attend.

It's really too bad that even these "home" vendors don't compete with eBay sale prices. The failure of these types of shows eliminates another avenue for train enthusiasts to actually meet and interact.
