Athearns new HO Scale SD40-2's where to come out some time in May 2006 have been pushed back to (Early) March 2006. Allan.

Are these locos going to just be another run of their old SD40-2's? I have 2 of them now both newer ones with the plastic handrails and one is nice and quiet the other makes a ton of noise that a diesel should not make. It still runs smooth and powerful but just noisy. I am looking to get some in NS and undec to paint in South Massey paint. Here is a pic of my paint on an SD40-2.

I found the image on a train picture website as a UP engine then just changed the paint to match what I am planning.

The new Athearns will come as. All Models will be HO RTR Models.

As I do love the SD40-2 what is up with no one making much of anything for NS? I know that Atlas just released some but no one else is making any NS locos. Just have to keep waiting I guess.

That's good that they're coming out ealy but i can't affoard them that soon. I might be able to get 1 right away but the other would have to wait.
