This weeks project. Lehigh Valley RS11 low nose

Since I had this week off of work I decided to get a couple of modeling projects out of the way. I was working on a couple of projects that are at the decal stage now and I had to put them on hold until I got the decals for them. With a bit of free time on my hands I decided to start this one...a Lehigh Valley low nose RS11. This is based on an Atlas/Kato RS11 with a Railway Recollections conversion kit. The whole job is fairly straight forward if you have all the needed parts handy. The kit does not come with a headlight casting and this is not mentioned on their web site. Fortunatly I had to cast a headlight assembly for another engine once and had the mold handy to make another one.
Here is the hood casting before and after the headlight casting assembly
Here is a picture of the assembled shell painted and clear coated ready for decals.
Hopefully I can get some time tonight to get the decals on it.
