Can i convert a bachmann 0-6-0 from DC to DCC, and any ideas on what material is needed?

Bachman or Spectrum??? Anything can be converted. All you have to do is electrically isolate the motor from the wheels.. Oh, and if Bachman, with one of those smoke units (that probably doesn't work anyway), loose the smoke unit..

If you are unsure whether that (isolation) needs to be done or not, I would suggest investing in Volt-Ohm meter (VOM)..
