Posted by krump on Friday, November 4, 2005 1:11 AM
I am intending to buy this on DVD this year, but I have not yet found it in the stores (I haven't watched the movie either, but I think it came out in 2004)...
is it released on DVD yet ? Thanks[^]

cheers, krump

Polar Express should be released on DVD this month starting at $26.59 CAD from Chapters-Indigo. You can pre-order it now if you like. Here is a link to it at Chapters-Indigo ...

It's coming back to the IMAX on Nov 23. You HAVE to see it in the IMAX!! It's unbelievably better than the regular version. I went last year, and I'm planning to go again this year.

I believe it is going to be in 3D on the IMAX screens this time.

Yeah it was last time too. The 3D was utterly amazing throughout the whole movie.

Amazon.com has been advertising this new Christmas "classic" for months with a release date of Nov 22nd. Price for the DVD 2-disc set (widescreen) is $19.98 (US).

Great flick! [tup]

You can pre-order it on Amazon also, for a bit cheaper than the other.

It's a shame it can't be in 3-D on the DVD . Saw it last year in IMAX 3-D, and I was very impressed (3-D photography is my other hobby). Don't confuse this with the "junk 3-D" in "Spy Kids". Unfortunatly, it will appear in far fewer IMAX theaters this year, mine included. I may drive to Atlantic City, NJ to see it again, but will get the DVD as well. Joe

A "bit" cheaper is a understatement. I just ordered from Amazon. Joe

Is there a website somewhere that lists which IMAX theaters will be showing Polar Express this season?

I'd love to go see it in IMAX. It was a good movie in the theater, and the DVD is definitely on my Christmas list.[:D]
