PROGRAMMING SOUNDTRAXX DECODER

Have an Atlas GP 38 with a Soundtraxx decoder and an Atlas command unit. I would like to turn up the volume, but cannot get into direct programming mode on my programming track. The Soundtraxx manuel explains the programming in detail, but the Atlas command unit will not allow me to go above cv 8. Is it possible that the command unit is defective?

I had the same problem with my Lenz compact ( same as the Atlas ) Go through all the CV's you have 1-8 enter then exit without making changes as per the manual, and then it should let you into the 9 and above CV's.
This is something you have to do everytime to get to the high CV's, a pain!!
