Texas members gathering - plan B...
Posted by Tracklayer on Sunday, October 9, 2005 2:50 PM
I just got off the phone talking to cwclark (Chuck) a little while ago out in Crosby, and he suggested that we meet at a train show, which I think would be a much better idea. For those of you interested, please e-mail me by clicking on my user name then click on the e-mail option on my personal info page and send me your user name so that I can contact and inform you of when and where we're going to get together.

"Thanks"

hi mark, the best way to find out about a train show is thru Papa Ben's trains (713) 523 -5600 ...he usually has the skinny on all the train shows in Texas....San Antonio sounds like the best bet if we can just find out when and where...e-mail the San Antonio Model Railroad Association at samra@samrarail.org and they should know of any upcoming train shows in their area...San Antonio would be good because it's pretty much in the middle of the state and everyone can be within a days drive of there....just my thoughts...chuck

Hey there Chuck. You just keep those good thoughts coming... I very much appreciate the help at trying to put this together. Also appreciate the inside info on Papa Ben's and the Round House yesterday. That was very interesting to know.

Yes it was. Same place the SAMRA Jamboree is held. I think it might be best to wait till February and all go to the Jamboree. Its the best show every year in my opinion. Well, they are having the LSR convention here this summer. But It's a long way off.
