A work in progress

Ok, I posted a few days ago that I'd like to use the knowledge I have of web dev. to help the model railroading community. I've done this by starting work on a web site much like the forums here but with some added features. I'm running it as a sub-domain of my xbox site until I see if there's enough interest to get a domain name but it's in progress.

Now I could use some help from the members here. If you're able to help with any of the below items, please let me know!

1. Forums--I need to know what forums people would like to see. It seems pretty basic here and that works but it can be split up a little more as well. I could make ones for different gauges, for scenery, Q and A, etc. Let me know what you'd like to see.

2. Features--A few people posted that they'd like a place to host they're videos and pics. I know you can upload pics here and I already have the online photo album up and running so that each member would have they're own album to share pics in. As well, I've included a Knowledge Base for people to write articles and post in to help other members. Same thing as with the forums, what catagories would be good to have?

3. People--I would of course need help moderating and admining the site. If it were to become even half as busy as this one I can't imagine being able to keep up with everything. If you have time to contribute to this please let me know.


Let me again say that I have no intention of taking people away from this site. I'll continue to visit and post myself. I'd just like to help out the hobby.
