" THE CTC WAY"
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, October 5, 2005 2:11 PM
[:D]Hi all, I know there are a lot of computer nerds out there and I have a question about a CTC system for my layout. What would be the best computer system for CTC and how do you connect the two up, I have about as much sense about computers as what God gave the crowbar[xx(]. Just kiddin'[;)] I'm willing to learn and have fun learning and have a great signal system on my layout[8D]. Thanks for the help.

A pretty basic used Windows based PC will work. The key is software to interface H/W to your signal system. Check out these web sites for H/W:

http://www.logicrailtech.com/
http://www.wsaeng.com/Signaling_Solution/
http://www.digitrax.com/

And these sites for the software:

http://www.digitoys-systems.com/
http://www.freiwald.com/
http://www.trainpriority.com/

For 'DIY': Search on cMRI and Bruce Chubb for information/parts to build your own system. Good Luck! Signaling takes a lot of work(and money).......
