Here in the northeast we have old man winter to contend with so the garage layouts tend to go idle. I am in the basement beavering away from the end of Oct. to Feb. when my season(s) begin again. I can't wait to get off the road and back at it on a more regular basis. Got a summer full of plans and sketches to turn into a railroad. J.R.

Now that winter is coming and it is getting colder and I wont be able to work on my garden railroad as much, I will be doing a lot of work on the model railroad. Over the past few months I have accumulated a lot of ideas and I am ready to get to work. I have a lot of engines and rolling stock on eBay just waiting for me to bid on too. I will let you guys know on the progress I make through Weekend Photo Fun.

IT still hasn't cooled down here in Texas as of yet but i do seem to do more on the layout in the winter time than in the summer...in fact..i haven't been in the train room for any length of time since June and yesterday i started a new project...scratch built target searchlights ...hope they are done and in in a month or two so i can finally start the scenery....Chuck

I'll get a lot more done. It's not 100 degrees in my out building anymore.
Hey oleirish-Could you please chech the file size of your new toy pic? It seems really large and it really slows down us dial up guys.I beleive 50K was the recommended file size.
Thanks

I can't work in my garage. It would be too hot in summer and too cold in winter. That is, if I HAD a garage! LOL

My layout and workbench are in a spare bedroom, fully air conditioned year 'round! Don't ask me why I don't get more done on the layout with ideal conditions like this. Posting here and on other forums is why I don't get much done, PERIOD!!!

Darrell, posting but quiet...for now

I will be spending more time in the basement finishing a 4x16 foot layout, that is on 2 separate boards(4x8's),that are joined by a wye and a bridge.I have temporarily stopped building as I am in desperate need of good switches and flex track, for the phase 2 of the layout, which will serve a paper mill, chemical plant, a yard,a cement and asphalt plant,as well as a paper converting warehouse. These items I will be getting from Trainfest in West Allis,Wi.,on November 12 &13th of this year. if any of you plan to come, stop by the CNWHS booth.I'll be there, and my name is Andrew.
