Good moring to all.I just purchased a second compressor and I had to find a fitting to go on the compressor to attach the small airbrush line to . Is it neccary to drill a small hole in the fitting. the compressor is a daphram type.It has no tank. thanks rambo1.........

You don't mention the brand or fitting sizes. Normally you shouldn't have to modify a fitting, a 1/4" male pipe thread usually is needed for the airbrush adaptor. All my compressors and tools are fitted w/ 1/4" quick connect to match my nail guns etc.. you my not need to do this if you only are airbrushing w/ the compressor.

Many of the diaphragm air compressors that do not have an auto shut-off and storage tank come with a relief that will keep it from deadheading itself when your not using the air brush. This prevents damage to the diaphragm. Check and see if your paper work mentions this. If it doesn't have this, you should either drill a very very small (pin size) hole in the fitting or just buy one from you LHS. Badger makes this fitting.

Ok the type of compressor is a second hand schuco and it is a 1/4" brass fitting that I used and I used the adaptor to attach it to the propane cans to connect it to the qther end of the fitting to connect the airbrush Must I still drill this hole and where on the fitting? thanks rambo1....
