Good news on Walthers GP9M
Posted by Darth Santa Fe on Thursday, September 15, 2005 8:52 PM
I was working on cleaning my Walthers GP9 today and found out that the motor is Not glued in. It's just a tight press fit![:D] So if one of you gets a GP9 and wants to remotor it, than you don't have to worry about it being glued.[:)]

And it also works better now that it's clean.[:D]

Thanks for the info. I got one about 3 years ago but never tried to take the motor out. Now I must try.

That will make my 3/4 inch dall pink plastic diesel mechanics happy. As well as the 3/4 inch DCC installation people over at the Digitrax shop. (Just another place on my layout, I do my own installation. but prefer digitrax decoders on basis of local availablity and price.)
