Loco Lights
Posted by pj1775 on Tuesday, September 13, 2005 9:19 PM
Evening Everyone:
Can someone tell me what the lights are called that you see on those locos that are exceptionally, realistically bright? Just went to a show in Clayton, NY last weekend and saw several on some layouts being displayed.

The lights struck me because they seemed so realisitc, almost intimidating. Anyone...fell in love with them. Would love to retro-fit my locos with them. Any info anyone?

Thanks,
PJ (AKA the HO Addict)

Good evening PJ,
I expect that you may have seen some white LEDs. Miniatronics sells white and "Yeloglo" white LEDs that are good for about $1.50 ea. The Yeloglo line does a better job of replicating electric headlamps.

Miniatronics website is www.miniatronics.com. Select the L.E.D.s pick and look around.
