Revised paint schemes

Does anybody out there have any revised (simplified, more economical, more "up to date etc.) paint scheme that was an improvement over the one it replaced. The only one I can think of was PRR going to Tuscan Red instead of Engine Enamel Green on psgr diesels. My candidate for the worst would be SP's going from Daylight/Black Widow to Bloody Nose.

How about the Santa Fe switching from the original black and green of Amos & Andy to the War Bonnet.
