virus was
discovered yesterday afternoon by McAfee and no vaccine has yet been
developed. This virus simply destroys Sector Zero from the hard disk,
where
vital information for its functioning are stored.

freezes
so that the user has to reboot . When the ctrl+alt+delkeys or the reset
button are pressed, the virus destroys Sector Zero, thus permanently
destroying the hard disk. Yesterday in just a few hours this virus
caused
panic in New York, according to news broadcast by CNN.

As
soon as you get the mail, delete it!! Even if you know the sender !!!

people,
like myself, would rather receive this notice 25 times than not at All

Here's a tip for you...
Whenever I get an email like this (don't ask why friends pass them on, I have no idea), I'll copy and paste a portion of a sentence from it in quotes, along with the word "hoax" and type it into google.
For example:
"This virus simply destroys Sector Zero from the hard disk" hoax
sure enough, no doubt, it's a hoax.
I usually email everyone on the list of people it was sent to links of the hoax websites. Usually that embarasses people enough to stop sending me this junk.
Sorry to be so harsh, but it gets old fast...

Yep, it's a hoax.
Why would it be surprising?
All it took from my Googling was putting "A Virtual Card for You" without the quotes in and ta-da!
But I have heard that Bill Gates is going to start charging for email, pass it on...

A hoax ?!?!
That would explain why I have not heard of this on CNN or any other news service; nor have I gotten any virus alerts from McAffee.
Lesson : Don't believe everything you read or see anywhere, especially the internet.

This is probably like those "Send it to 15 people in 2 minutes or you will die!" type things.
Thanks for at least caring enough to warn us, Alec. Just an honest mistake..
