I am planning to purchase DCC set. Is there any link in this forum for the DCC help. I am looking for best locomotive and suggestions for complete set.
Thanks in advance for the help & guidance.

Any of the upscale locos come either ready to plug in a decoder or with a decoder already in them. These include Atlas, Proto, BLI for certain. As far as the best system for you is kind of like asking someone to pick out your next car. I would check out Tony's train exchange on the net for basic info on nearly every brand and feature offered but you are going to have to do some field work either visiting other modelers or hobby shops to handle the merchandise. Some are highly intuitive and will be very logical to you. Some will feel better in your hand than others and ergonomics are not to be taken lightly. My advice would be to determine which system gives you everything you want and buy the next higher one. As you expand you might want to add other features.

Ken,
If you have the time, look at this thread: http://www.trains.com/community/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=36389
WARNING: It is not something to go through if you have "a few minutes" since it will take longer. Worth the read, though.
The "best" locomotive is some tall territory. Steam or diesel? Passenger, freight or switcher? Regardless of steam or diesel, what era? Particular road name? From past posts, it looks like HO?
Armed with more detail, our residence gurus can chime in.
Enjoy the above thread.

Hey Ken,
To some MRailroaders that's an almost religious question. You'll find many different answers, each stating the pros of their own systems and cons of the others. There is not a "perfect system". Some systems a great and do almost anything, but are extremaly costly. Others are budget priced, but very limited. There are systems for every taste and need. I strongly recomend Tonny's web page, lots of info, comparison charts of different systems, reviews and great prices.
