We have all heard of the horrors of pets and other animals in the train room. Well I have one for you. I had two litters of kittens in the train room. I thought they were the cutest little things until the fleas started biting. I'm not talking about a few fleas, i'm talking about FLEAS!
I bombed the room tonight and I hope I got the fleas. I could see the headlines now. Strange fog overtakes city and kills thousands. LOL

I feel for ya dude! You may need to bomb it again in a couple days. Many , if not all, bug bombs won't kill the flea eggs, which hatch in about 24-36 hours. The fleas may mysteriously reappear.
We live in the woods, and bugs here tend to run differently year to year. The first summer we were here, you couldn't walk across the driveway without seeing one. The next summer, the drive was covered in millipedes. One year it was "Palmetto Bugs" which is one of the biggest roaches I've ever seen, measuring over 3 inches long!
To stay on topic, one year was fleas. You couldn't walk across the lawn with out your legs being covered in them. Of course, they got inside. It took 3 bombings, 2 days apart, to get them out of the house.
Before you bomb, cover your layout with a plastic painters drop cloth so none of the liquid mist falls on your layout, as the chemicals could damage some plastics.
As an aside, be real careful spraying anything into the air in your layout room, such as air freshener spray, insect sprays, some cleaning products.
Good luck!

Jake: How often does the train go by? Elwood: So often you won't even notice ...
