Trix Big Boy 4013 wanted

Looking for one of these (w/o DCC/sound) in excellent to new
condition so I can do my own sound.

Check Ebay and be patient that's how I got my Big Boy because I got tired of waiting for the LHS to get one with sound (6 months and counting Ebay is quicker than this by the way). Happy hunting and good luck.

There was a 4013 on Ebay as recent as last week. They are not much less money than the 4015 with sound, and the 4015 can be converted easy since the speaker and basic wiring is installed.

I have been looking for a #4013 as well but don't want to pay more than $400 -one just sold today on Ebay today for $465.. I already have the #4015 and always thought the sound was a little lacking with that fixed, multi-blast whistle it has, That;s an interesting point about upgrading the 4015 since it already has a decent speaker installed and comparable price but I think that its speaker is a much higher ohm rating than other sound cards can handle so you would wind up having to replace it anyway. The Trix Big Boys are great runners though and either engine should be a real treat to operate - very smooth and great low speed performance.

lo lo hal... one was just sold on australian ebay... do a search of all abays a just typed big boy and quite a lot came up in international searches mainly rivarossi... hope this helps peter
