Scratchbuild Contest Cancelled.
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, August 23, 2005 12:04 AM
Hello everyone,

I am just writing to say that the scratchbuild contest I was planning to hold this fall has been cancelled. I have accepted a new job and thus have to move. (Means New layout for me. Good since I am currently layoutless) All complications that moving comprises means I do not have time to tend to the duties such a contest requires. Perhaps once I am settled I will try and hold one next year.

James.

James,
Did anyone ever send anything in for the last one?

Good luck with the move and new job. Dave

Dave, as far as I know I was the only one to actually submitt a photo and detailed description for the contest last year. My little transfer caboose:

James, too bad to hear that, I was planning on building something again. Oh well, hopefully next year though. I might as well get started on building that flanger then instead of waiting now......

I was actually thinking about trying out scratchbuilding this year. But the good news is your new employment and new oppurtinitty for a new layout.[swg]

James:

Sorry to hear about the cancellation, but look forward to a rerun in the future. Congratulations on the new job. Wish you well.

I will hold another one again. Because Scratchbuilding is a cause that I staunchly support. Its just with all the upheavel of the getting a new job moving, unpacking and settling it. Just to much to keep track with the contest.

Here is to another try next year.
