I hope so but unfortunately I don't think it'll happen. It'd cost some decent $$ and I just don't think the railroads care about us railfans :-D

Be great to see BNSF do some GN, CBQ, Frisco, BN and ATSF (last 2 they sort of have [%-)])

It might be interesting to see them do it like UP, some new fantasy scheme. The more Iook at the UP stuff the more I like it.

More grist for the mill, I am surprised that there were not more "Did UP do that?" responses. Given the comments on the releases so far by UP, no one is going to be satisfied with any other "Heritage" paint schemes by any of the surviving flags. What we really need is more heritage schemes on our layouts and in the hobby shops at reasonable prices. And maybe the surviving flags could occasionally wash some of the grime off their current offerings. Just a thought!

I think Guiford and Geneese Wyoming would go broke just trying to cover in the number of different paints to do any heritage schemes :) But Larry's Truck Electric Locomotives, they are doing heritages [;)]

Voted dont care, because my layout is a freelance shortline.

BTW if they DO more Heritage schemes, doesnt this give the RR's more fuel to claim logo protection rights on fallen flag lines?

   Have fun with your trains

Maytag, really, UP runs on the old RI tracks in my town. I heard Maytag was being bought by some company in China. Not surprised, everything is made in China nowdays.

CP has had a Heritage Loco before UP even thought of it. I'm almost 100% sure becuase i saw the D&H Heritage loco almost 2 weeks before UP announced the Heritage engines. If any more companys do Heritage Locos. I hope they Follow CPs example and Do the oringal schemes on engines like what was oringaly owned by the company. I think the UP Heritage locos are the ugliest thing on earth.

Who cares if any of the other railroads do this type of promotion. It would be nice if they did a program like this and I am sure we would all enjoy seeing the eastern roads Heritage units, but they would be following the leader if they did it now.

Remember, Conrail had the Executive E units and so did BNSF, but they have been discarded with the NS acquisition and BNSF decided their Heritage II paint was sufficient. The KCS has F units and a matching nice business train too and they have display heritage.

The other railroads would certainly get a lot of publicity if they did it, but the Union Pacific continues to run steam, E units and the Centennial just to promote heritage.

I think Union Pacific should get a lot of credit for their Heritage units and Steam Program.

These new units are great and should be appreciated by all rail fans.
