body mount MT couplers

Is there somewhere I can get information on body mounting MT couplers. The MT homepage mainly has info on truck mounting. Specifically, I want to body mount couplers on a bunch of LL E7s and E8s, but the rear seems too short. I would really rather body mount the couplers if possible, the trains do seem to look and operate better. Thanks for any information! Frank

The MT website has a table of coupler conversions. Most Locos do use a body mount conversion. The URL is www.micro-trains.com/convmain.htm For the E7 rear it recommends 1128,1129 or 1130. For the E8 rear it recommends 1129. For the pilot conversion for both engines it recommends 1021.

thanks for the response, but the 1128-1130 are adaptors for the truck mounted couplers. The problem is that there is not enough room behind the truck to body mount a 1015/1016, which is what I usually do. FAS
