Powering KATO Unitrack in HO Scale--SAY WHAT?

I am laying KATO Unitrack and have some of their feeder tracks. I notice the cord that comes out of them (forgive my lack of electrician knowledge) is capped with this plastic thing that apparently attaches to their KATO power pack. Is there anyway I can jury rig this to run with my MRC power packs? KATO says they sell some sort of converter--perhaps in Japan, but I could not find it on Walthers' online catalog.
If I cannot use KATO's feeders, is it possible to use Atlas feeder wires with its conventional rail joiners?
