I'm looking for any suggestion for wiring it to be DCC capatable. It shorts out when I reroute a locomotive. or should I just emove it. Tony

Is it possible that you have inadvertently created a reverse loop with the placement of the crossover? If you can go down one track, and come back the other way on the other track, when you cross over it becones a reverse loop. Reverse loops take special wiring.
