I need to know where to get N$W passenger cars. Or images of them so that I can make a set. Thanks in advance.

Look down the list of threads; there is one about brass N&W cars. They may not be what you are looking for, but it's something.

Thanks, is there anywhere where I can get blank passenger cars from around the 1940's?

Products you may want to check out are made by Northstar Railroad Models, LASERkit (which makes passenger car sides for three N&W coaches, Brass Car Sides, and Eastern Car Works Inc. You can find their products listed in the 2003 Walthers catalog.

Hello "Mike,"

You'd probably be interested in the book "Norfolk & Western Passenger Service 1946-1971," by William E. Warden. It was published in 1990 by TLC Publishing Inc., Rte. 4, Box 154, Lynchburg, VA 24503. It has lots of photos, diagrams, and other information that would be helpful to anyone modeling N&W passenger trains.

so long,

Andy

For Ho scale IHC and Rivarosi make streamlined paseger cars, pefect for the N&W. Bachman makes heavyweight cars for the N&W. Walthers makes a dynometer car for them.

Non of which are prototypically correct. The original poster seemed to indicate that they wanted prototypically correct cars.

Other good refernces: Williamson Terminal, by Vern French, The N&W Handbook.
