Bachman HO Climax
Posted by winks147 on Wednesday, June 8, 2005 4:36 PM
I've seen very little written yet about the HO Climax either here or in the magazines and I can't understand why. I got one in May when I was visiting Sacramento and it is one sweet running and looking engines. It has also been one of the most requested engine types. I'm sure they are available all over so I just can't understand the silence. Am I missing something?

Depends on the forum you read. The Bachmann forum and the various logging forums have talked about it.

Yes I agree that they are somewhat pricey, but you'd pay three times the
price for a brass one of similar quality-IF you could find one. I'm very happy
with mine (and it's Shay companion) and will probably buy another.[:)]

Yes, I am primarily a GN modeler and fan but I also freelance my own
lumbering operation as a traffic source. The Three Lakes Timber Co.

http://www.bachmanntrains.com/home-usa/
and the Loyal Legion of Logged on Loggers on Yahoo Groups also known as 4L
Sorry I can't seem to find my link,
and the large scale http://groups.yahoo.com/group/One-20point3
Don't dismiss the large scales folks as a source as a number are just as heavily invested in HO.
Another link to check out is NW Logging at
http://www.nwlm.org/
That will get you started.
