Another fun thing that pops up on EBay occaisionally from Japan is a 'Takara Joe' rubber Godzilla suit that fits GI Joe. The price has always been too steep for me, they tend to go for about $100. But you could do a great scene with Godzilla suiting up for the big action scene, or pausing for 'Miller Time' after stomping the city. And the N guage layout would then be a 1/12 scale model of the movie set! [8)]

But supposedly with the new Digitrax sound decoders there will be not only Godzilla but also Mothra. Not sure how the power will be transmitted to an operating Mothra model. Maybe on-board batteries.

Not yet. And not for the GHL&G, but now that I've started getting some B-Train Shorties from Japan, I have been strongly tempted to do a Godzilla scene. For N-Scale, a first generation Godzilla would be about 12" tall. But since the B-Trains are shortened versions of Japanese trains, perhaps a 6" or 8" Godzilla would look about right.

As time went by, Godzilla kept getting taller to keep pace with the building heights in Tokyo. And there were always minor changes to his facial and body features from film to film.

So beware, if you don't have the right scale height, and the right features for the time period you are modelling..... Then you are just playing with Godzillas! [}:)][:X][}:)]

My oldest son is a huge Godzilla fan. Our train layout does occasionally feature Godzilla. My son makes stop-action animation movies featuring the family layout and his Godzilla figures. Some of them are pretty good!

Godzilla has ruled my layout for years ! I built him from a kit I picked up several
years ago. I can't remember who produced the kit, but it's way cool !
I can put an N scale caboose between his hands. I just love Godzilla movies.
There is usually a train scene in them, as well as many fine models of towns,
bridges,electrical towers, etc.,etc. It's too bad they all get wiped out !!

A couple of layouts ago I had a dinosaur a-la John Allen's Stegoraurus that I used as a yard 'goat', but I lost it. Actually, it was a Triceratops, #01, and I hung the headlight between the front horns. Cute little critter. And it was close to HO scale. I really should go to Toys r' Us and see if I can find another. Until then, I'll have to make do with Spooky, the Maine Coon Catzilla.

Hmmm....I like the Sasquatch idea, especially since I am going to build a Northcoast mini layout.

And actuallly I do need to find an HO scale ape miniature for a small blimp I am building for a friend's movie (one of the characters is a bionic gorilla who owns a blimp.)

I do have a Godzilla toy--maybe I'll have to stage some rampage photos!
