Help !!!!! Lost Decoder Manual
Posted by CPPedler on Sunday, May 22, 2005 11:18 AM
Can someone please advice me of the CV's to adjust to alter the sound volumes in a Soundtraxx DSX diesel decoder. I can't find my decoder manual anywhere. Any help would be greatly received. CPPedler[:I][:o)][*^_^*]

Thats what you need. Found out myself that just about all mfg's have their manuals posted on their web sites as PDF files. I downloaded all that I have and burned them to a CD. Never know when the puters gonna crash...

Thankyou Simon, However I am not sure how to read this system , with the LC series Decoders it tells you the CV numbers in plain terms , i.e. CV 120 through to 123 adjust the sound volumes but this is not the case with the DSX. Could you please enlighten me. CPPedler

According to my manual here CV50 is the volume control for the DSX series. The settings are from 0 to 15 with 15 being the loudest. This is the CV for the overall volume control. CV 51 thru CV56 adjust individual levels like exhaust, etc. If you now have the manual, its in part 1 starting on page 28.
