Am going to be in Bloomington IL this weekend and was wondering if anyone can guide me to best shops in area? Can do the phonebook thing but would rather cut to the chase and go straight to the best. Thanks in advance Willy

You know, I've been modelling Bloomington for over four years now, and have made dozens of research trips down there (I'm in Rockford). I don't even know if there is a hobby shop there! I've only heard of the ones in Peoria (good) and Decatur (bad). I'm glad I work near Chicago, and have access to half a dozen good shops!

Ray, was thinking of running to Decatur on Sat. Thanks for saving me the trip. Modeling Bloomington sounds like quite a endeavor. How many boxes of "hot college chicks" did you have to buy from Preiser? [(-D] Thanks again

cspmo, thanks and will check out on Sat. Not far at all from where I'll be working. You live in Bloomington? Am musician working at Fat Jacks. Don't know if it's your cup of tea but if it is stop in and have one on me. I'm the old guy in the band! [:(]

By interstate I-55 and route #9 interchange there is a outlet mall. You can see it from I-55 southbound. There is a hobby store there called his and hers hobbies. I have not been to there new store. There old store was friendly and had a good/modest selection. If you are going to Bloomington it would be worth a stop.
