Bikerdad,

Regarding your statement on the ACLU, I've been looking at some of the cases that they took on. Yes I agree with you 100%! They've acted nobly in some cases but overall.......most of the issues and cases they chose to tackle are outrageous.

I've often heard of this group referred to as "The American Criminal Liberties Union".
If the shoe fits...................

No, you don't want a massive engine on each end of the train. In case of a sudden stop, the momentum of the rear engine would telescope the car in front of it.

Does anyone remember if it was the ACLU that got the Supreme Court to declare that topless dancing in bars was protected by the First Amendment? Do you suppose the Founding Fathers sat around the bar at the Scarlet Letter Club in Philly back in the 1700's making sure that was protected?

It takes an iron man to play with a toy iron horse.

I think the Skokie case was very interesting from several points of view. The ACLU attorney that represented the Nazi's was Jewish - quite ironic. In a way, winning the case really brought down the then current Nazi leader. They pretty much knew they'd get their butt's kicked if they marched in the town and once the court fight was over they kinda lost the free publicity. Of course I do think it humerous when Nazi's do talk. It reminds me of the saying "better to let people think your dumb than to open your mouth and confirm it!"

I don't know if the founding fathers were at that club, but I hear that Ben Franklin was quite the party animal!

If you ain't having fun, you're not doing it right and if you are having fun, don't let anyone tell you you're doing it wrong.
