PL 300 Adhesive: For Info
Posted by bgrossman on Thursday, March 31, 2005 1:04 PM
Several articles in MR have mentioned using PL 300 for gluing up foam and other things. I have used it and found it to be good: fast drying, low odor. It was tough finding it locally. It wasn't in Lowes or HD, but I found one tube at a local hardware store. When I went to get another today, a salesperson told me that the stuff is not available anymore, because it doesn't meet emissions requirements. The manufacturer, OSI Sealants, is apparently reformulating it.

Fortunately, there are other glues out there that do the job.

Good to know, Bernie, and thanks for the heads-up.

Apparently PL 200 is okay for foam, but I have not used it. Same for Liquid Nails for Projects. I've heard that some have used carpenter's glue with good results. Lots cheaper than PL 3/200.
