code 83 turnouts with code 100 track

i know you can mix track code, but how would code 83 curved turnouts be with code 100 flex track...[:D]

...I don't see any problem. It shouldn't matter whether the rails being joined are part of a turnout or another piece of flextrak.

On straight track just stick the code 83 track into the code 100 rail joiner, make sure they line up and solder. Dress the inside rail head up flush and drive your trains.

All code 83 track, except Atlas's uses the same height ties as code 100 track, so that tops of the code 83 rails end up being .017" lower than the code 100 track.

Atlas code 83 track uses ties that are .017" thicker, so the tops of the rails are the same height as code 100 track.
