8-40CW problems silver series HO

ok im installing a DH123PS decoder into my HO silver series 8-40CW today. first off the PC board is all turned around! foward is reverse and vise versa. then we programed it got the lights to work and consisted it. everything ran fine then boom. it completely drops all the memory and programming! and resets its address to 0001. ok ok im thinking bad decoder, wrong!! try a dif decoder one i know is working does the same thing! but goes back to 0003 address and drops the CV27 programing for reverse. now im a little po'ed. so i take out my decoder tester. its not the decoders, then i test the Atlas motor and PC board bingo! the board has a falut. also have 2 others that were doing this, these arnt sound ones there Silver series, but i though i would let you know. i will be calling tomorrow to talk to you guys about this more. thank you
