Great idea for a first "scratch" build.

I have been scratch building and kitbashing for several years, but I put together a kit today that is a great idea for an intro into scratchbuilding for someone interested at trying their hand at it. The kit is plastructs truss bridge. Mine is the N scale #2002, but I know this kit is available in HO scale as well. While it is a kit, it is more like a scratch build than most kits. You receive a set of plans and instructions and basic plastruct structural members. You have to cut all pieces to length, miter the appropriate angles, cut all gussetts out of sheet stock and emboss rivets on them (this was a first for me, but the rivets came out great). It is a great place to try your hand at a new level of model building for the intimidated newby.
