I know its been mentioned before, but the man can really weather model trains. I just spent a long time studying his photo album ..... really great work. Engines *and* rolling stock. One of my favorites is his Santa Fe stock car ..... I can almost smell it from here!

Great job, man.

I'm with you. He does some of the best weathering I've seen. That SP AC-5 of his looks EXACTLY as I remember SP cab-forwards looking during the early '50's. I'm all for having him post his techniques on the board--between his locos, cars and those furnace-filter pine trees, we're dealing with a real ARTIST here, guys! Hats off is right!

I'm in the process of making my own furnace filter trees from his formula and they are looking great. I wish I knew how to post a pic. I will probably be able to build about 100 trees for less than $10, but the pleasure comes in the satisfaction of making them. Thanks AggroJones.

I agree. Aggro's layout and weathering skills are mind boggeling. Keep up the good work, Mr. Jones!

I agree with what has been said already. I have to admit that until Mr. Jones' post about furnace filter trees came about I had not printed anything I'd read on this forum. That post did get printed because his technique appeared pretty easy and his trees looked great. When I get to that point on my layout, I fully intend to utilize the technique he gave us to build (grow?) many trees of my own!

Aggro,

Your nephew had the, "Get that air brush away from me!" look.

Great job - I would take my hat off as well but I look bad with hat hair.
