Posted by Anonymous on Friday, February 4, 2005 1:06 PM
The Allentown Scranton & Northern Railroad Company has announced
today that it has purchased 8 SD70M-2's [The AS&N will call these
diesels SD70Me's] from EMD in place of 8 ES40DC locomotives from
General Electric. These units will wear a new paint scheme, the
third since the company was formed in 1999. The Allentown Scranton &
Northern owns track in 3 states and Ontario.

Hey, nice scheme! It's a big step up from the old AS&N paint scheme.

I really like the new paint scheme Mark, I think it's really neat. As Big Boy mentioned, it's a big step up from the old.
