Looking for Ride on Scale Live Steam Engine.
Posted by jwr_1986 on Friday, February 4, 2005 12:02 AM
Though I model HO a friend of mine recently mentioned that he is in the market for a ride on size live steam engine. He is actually looking for one that is in a bit of disrepair to rebuild. New ones are of course also an option. If anyone has even a slight lead please post it as their footwork has revealed nothing. Your help is appreciated. Thanks

Can't help with one to buy, thought you might like a pic or two of my local club.

Live Steam magazine is where he needs to look. There should be ads for both new and used engines. There is also a club listing. It would be a good idea to check with the members of the local for used equipment. Do you know what those things cost?

I just typed Live Steam magazine into my browser, and it came up as the first choice.

Here's the link.

Check out the Largo Central Railroad Club in Largo, Florida.

http://www.lcrailroad.com You can zip them an E-mail.

The members are a good, friendly group. From time to time, I've heard of members selling locomotives.

"I like my Pullman Standards & Budds in Stainless Steel flavors, thank you!"
