A Norfolk Southern freight train derailed this morning outside of Pittsburgh. No one is reported injured, and there's no known cause so far.
This one forced officials to evacuate the surrounding area do to a chemical spill. 2 cars are in the river and one of them is spilling hydrogen fluoride. Over 200 residents have been evacuated so far.

Wow that's awfull. I remember the 1979 CP rail derailment in Mississauga most of the city of 500,000 were evacuated because of chlorine and lpg tanks that derailed and caught fire. Amazinly no one has hurt or killed. They hit a broken switch point which caused the derail. Hopefullu the NS finds out what happened and the Hazmat gets the spill contained. This is the wronf time of year to be not in your house speacially in the north. Rob

The siding beside my house always has a banged up car or cars! They are repaired there if possible then sent on their way, or the local picks it up and back to Altoona it goes
