HO-Velo

more fav locomotives.  Regards, Peter

How about two.

The streamlined 4-4-2 doesn't fit my era or locale. I believe it was scrapped years before my 1956 time frame. I liked this loco so much I rewrote history so that it was saved to run excursions and occasionally will run it on my New York/New Jersey layout. One of the joys of being a freelancer.

Since we are getting near the end of the month, no point in changing the subject. More fav locos please.

15 years ago, I was sitting at my desk and the wife came in kissed me on the cheek and passed an Atlas Trainmaster 8920 over my shoulder and said I bought you a present. A few months later she did it again this time it was 8901. PWRS has my wish list so she just stops in on occasion and grabs something off the list for me.

They mean a lot.

My really old stuff is in photo albums or on slides.

Please show me two steamers lashed up.

My 1st HO locomotive, more blasts from your past.

One of my 'firsts' as well. Back in 1972 I was just a junior in high school. The day after Christmas I was browsing the huge selection of marked-down trains at the local Woolworth's and spotted this Dreyfus Hudson. I seem to recall it was marked $12.50! Plus I had a crush on the girl, a classmate, that was working in the toy department then. The girl got away but I still have the Hudson!

More blasts from the past or MR items that are dear to you, please.

Okay, been more than 24 hours since the last post.

Here is a blast from the past that I can't get rid of.  This locomotive and caboose were painted/lettered for a freelance railroad I had grand plans for but my desires changed before I got much further than this (was severely monitarily limited at the time).  These reside nicely in a box under the layout for when I feel nostalgic.

Please show me another project on the go.

I've had this patch of 'no-man's land' here for years (only since 1995!) finally getting 'round to filling 'er in!

I added a platform between tracks, now applying cinder ballast and 'paving'.

Then a well-worn parking lot:

Please show me your latest project even if it is a work in progress.

Well, this one (of many) has been on the go for a while but has had the most attention recently.

Please show me another project on the go.

While I have been mucking about with various kit bashing / scratch building projects, I note with some dismay that it was over two years ago, that I assembled a kit.
