Good grief Dick, my mistake, but you'll be alright

Not only your mistake.  Mine also.  I kept calling it downtown until I got corrected.

Exactly Dick, What the heck is Downton anyway?

My truck is 3/4 ton suspension, and 20 years old.  I've been hauling lots of heavy crap back there through the years.  The box is starting to sag next to the cab about 3/4 of an inch down now.

Is that (Down-ton)?

Downtown Abbey?, never even heard of it.  Is she Hot?  Sounds like some inner city hooker

If it was Downtown Abbey and about a lady of the evening I might have watched it.  But it is not Downtown, it is DownTon.  And I won't watch anything where they can't spell correctly (and I'll now wait for someone to tell me that correctly is spelled c o r r e c t l y).

Good evening

We better make that six.

Downtown Abbey?, never even heard of it.  Is she Hot?  Sounds like some inner city hooker.  But then again, I'm not prone to watching too much TV like my Ju-Ju does.  Always find something else to fiddle around with if not too tired from hitting-er hard down the hall.

I'm happy to report, I'm almost done down there.  Thank goodness.  I'm gonna take two weeks off, and work on the layout where things got left off.

John's got a bathroom ceiling that needs to be repaired on the second floor, from the third floor toilet that was leaking for too long.  These idiots don't report anything when the problem first starts.  Guess that would make too much sense, and make it too easy to take care ofTongue Tied

Also, there's some drywall repair, where Door Glass & Company replaced a window, but that's gonna get put on the back burner for awhile as wellWhistling

Good Afternoon,

We have started watching Downton  again as they are running it again here on the CBC. I find it generally to be well done. Every day at 4 an episode which we record to watch later.

On our way out shortly to drop off some donations to Wildlife Haven which is a rescue centre just south of the city.

Yes John.  And each series.  Not a speaking part, but there nontheless.

He is good friends with Allen Leech  who plays Tom Branson, the Irishman.

OK, David!  Was he in any of the first season?  If so, I probably saw him.

Oh, I'm here 'copyin' the mail' as the CBers used to say. We got a quick snow storm overnight and you'd think every plow and salt truck was up on blocks. My county had everything cleared but to my north, Lake County, there wasn't a plow in sight and several wrecks had some roads closed so I had to take a detour that made me ten minutes late to my appointment Bang Head

Take comfort, York John.  I will now take up your vacated honor along with my sweetie.  Social commentary series are not our cup of tea (an apt phrase, I guess).

Good morning, diners.  Chloe, I'll have bacon, eggs, and coffee, please.

Today looks like a good day.  It's windy and cold outside, so I can work on the streetcar shelter and other layout projects all day.

Last year, my daughters gave my wife a subscription to BritBox so she could watch her favorite shows from David's part of the world.  She has pretty much watched everything she wants, so we will let the subscription expire.

I believe I am the only person in the world who did not watch a single episode of Downton Abbey.  Sooooo, before the BritBox subscription expires, I decided I should watch it.  I made it through the first season, but I'm not going to go any further.  It's too much time spent on something I found I don't really want to see.

February 29th -- the last day for 'named' trains:  The Northern Pacific's North Coast Limited.

Have a good day, everyone.  For those with health issues, I hope you can have some relief today.

Good morning

Can't believe how fast we flew through February.  Charlie said it best, "Lifes like a toilet paper roll, time starts going by faster when your nearing the end of the roll" Laugh  Someting like that anyway, A Classic none-the-lessYes

Today, then take the weekend off, Monday, and then I'm DONE! Big Smile

Have a great day gentlemenSmile

Good afternoo Diners.   A large coffee and blueberry muffin please, Chloe.  I'll sit in the corner by the window and try not to listen to the 'Trecky'  conversation.  Smile, Wink & Grin

Dawn is going through a 'bad patch' at the moment.  A good job we are not ill together.

I have three clockwork locomotives and wondered how to run them on the layout.

By switching the  on/off lever to off the locomotves are 'free running' allowing an electric locommotive to push the clockwork one.    Doing that, I can run double headed trains  simply.

Hi Bear!

Thanks so much for updating the RIP track. That is one thing (among many) that I haven't figured out yet.

If somebody wants to move the Diner, please speak up. Otherwise, I will do the honours.

Cheers!!

Dave

I'm just a dude with a bad back having a lot of fun with model trains, and finally building a layout!

Yeah, I know I’m a little early but whoever moves the Diner for March should be able to copy and paste this image, along with the others at the start of February.
Cheers, the Bear.Smile

Lost in A2

I dunno; transporting them to the Klingons wasn't much different from your solution.

Dunno, pissing off the Klingons with insignificance of Tribbles, might not have been such a very good ideaHuh?

You got to save that one for when you're parked in the neutral zone, and they wonder what you're doing there, as they start becoming a bit hostilePirate

How did anyone ever get to own any space anyway?  Do you take out special space financing for the purchase at some space Bank? Whistling

If you do buy some space, you better make sure your able to get there and back as wellIndifferent  Might be a good idea to check and see if you have an extra UFO parked in the garage before committing to those outlandish space paymentsLaugh

Interesting.

When those Tribbles got over populated, someone should have grabbed a garden rake, put them into big lawn bags, and dumped them out into space through the shuttle portalWhistling

Good thing I'm not the writer of that episodeLaugh

could of sworn Kirk said beam me up Scottie at one time or another.

Seems that was a mis-quote.  He did say similar phrases.

Good evening

Cold here too Charlie.  It was 64° on Monday, but was only 4° today upon awakening.  That was a rude awakening after 64 in February...Yikes!

where Captain Kirk would say beam me up Scottie

I regret to inform you that contrary to common perception, although there were variations, Kirk never actually said "beam me up Scottie".

Now with that out of the way I think I miscounted the Tribbles and need to start over.

Didn't know that Dick, could of sworn Kirk said beam me up Scottie at one time or another.

Good call though, those fuzzy wuzzie Tribbles multiplied like bunny rabbitsLaugh, and weren't so cute anymore after they flooded the shipTongue Tied

Good Afternoon/Evening,

I did see some Star trek episodes back in 1969/70.  I was at university at the time. I liked The Prisoner. Did anyone else watch Patrick McGoohan in the Dangerman series? It dates from the mid '60s. Was one of my favourites back then plus of course The Avengers.

Very cold here today but supposed to warm up tomorrow.

Here we see Spock using a flight computer, it is exactly the same as mine that I used when I used to fly. Maybe I could sell mine to some unsuspecting Star Trek fan. You would think they would have improved on that vital piece of equipment in 300 years.Laugh
