I just looked this up. It is the same as youtube.com, but is a shorter address.
If you type youtu.be, you will automatically go to youtube.com.

Living the dream.
In the early days of the trains.com Forums Bob Grech would post here on a fairly regular basis. I always enjoyed seeing photos of his excellent work.

Wow! I hadn't seen anything on Bob's new laytout until this post. Thank you for the link. The MR article back in 2012 was a visit to Bob's old layout in Fountain Valley, California. I used to enjoy the distinct pleasure of being a member of Bob's Southern California operating crew. Bob and his layout became an inspiration to me and set the bar for what I wanted to achieve on my own layout. As you can see from the video, Bob's attention to detail is mind blowing. His modeling skills are incredible. He actually modeled a poultry car that is chuck full of HO scale chickens with lots of loose feathers stuck in the chicken wire sides of the car! Even though I operated on his layout several times, I never could see everything on the layout -- that was impossible! I used to love running the Grand Avenue Turn as it involved hours of switching numerous industries that were so heavily and realistically weathered that it took half of your time just trying to locate the industries you needed to work. Bob's trackwork is flawless so his old layout was truly a joy to run.
The new Texas version of the Western Pacific appears to be even better than the old layout. Bob is a master at modeling not just structures but entire scenes. His paint and weathering palettes are so well defined that his layout appears to exist in a specific geographical location, even though the location is entirely freelanced. I hope we can all see more of the new layout in future videos. Maybe Bob will video his first operating session.

The October 2012 issue of MR had a layout visit and an article on operations for Bob Grech's layout.
If there's a layout you think should be covered in the magazine, email the editor directly.
