SeeYou190On page 3 my offering of Canadian brew was poo-pooed.
Hi Kevin,
Guilty! I hope you realized that I was doing it in jest. Molson Canadian is one of the best selling brews in Canada. It's just not my favourite.
SeeYou190Right now I am enjoying a Premium Canadian Beer!
I have never had a Don De Dieu but the reviews I read were pretty positive. I'll have to see if it is sold in Ontario. My son would love it. Edit: No such luck! I'll have to make a trip to Quebec.
Cheers!!
Dave
I'm just a dude with a bad back having a lot of fun with model trains, and finally building a layout!

On page 4, allow me to offer up something else Canadian, and just a bit more high-browed and pompous...

This bottle is absolutely delicious. Please help yourself and enjoy.
Good evening...
I had a wierd interaction with a customer today at work that really ticked me off. I might be back to share it later.
Right now I am enjoying a Premium Canadian Beer!

SeeYou190 Good to hear from you again TF. I noticed two spots on the living room walls where I did not do a good-enough job layering the mud over the butt joints where patches went in.

Thanks Kevin.
Those butts are the toughest part about mudding. We are all the most critical about our own work. Half the time ya paint the walls with Flat and you won't even notice. I'm sure you did a great job, especially after seeing all your other work
gmpullman I'm up to the usual yard work, filling divots in the lawn, gathering brush and I still have a few trees to clear out.

Thank you, TF! Nice of you to say
I'm up to the usual yard work, filling divots in the lawn, gathering brush and I still have a few trees to clear out. Rain is forecast for the next few days so I'm thinking of spanding more time with TRAINS.

Hope we hear from Rick soon. Best wishes to all for your well being.

Good morning all. Hope everyone is having a good Sunday
Happy Birthday Lion!!
Kevin, you will probably be the only one to notice those spots. Tends to be that way with one's own work. I had a spot in a room in my old house that bugged me. I even pointed it out to my father in law who still couldn't see it.
Later guys.
Mike
Good morning everyone. Chloe, I will have a cheese omelet and a black coffee to start the day.
Good to hear from you again TF. I noticed your absence especially over on the train song thread.
I noticed two spots on the living room walls where I did not do a good-enough job layering the mud over the butt joints where patches went in. I am not going to fix it, but it is really aggravating. They are both up high near the ceiling.
York1 That's good news, Kevin. PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT (Filed under "I'm even more dumb than I look") If you are building a layout with a train bridge that crosses over another track, put in the track that will be under the bridge before you install the bridge.

Yes, I have tried that. On my layout there was 18" between the second and third layer but only 12" between the first and second level. I carefully built the staging yards on the first level before I built the second level. The first and second levels were 18" deep but while the third level was only 12" deep is was also set 5" closer to the wall.
All was well until I desided to morph into a subway layout and had to pull out the firswt level staging wayrds and build a fourt track main line subway in its place.
So... Go figgr.

Good morning, everyone. Just black coffee today, Brunhilda. It's donut day.
Another busy day ahead. I want to finish a siding on the layout, but I'm not having much time to work lately. This coming week the layout will not get any time.
I'll check in later. We're headed out the door.
Good morning again
I've been a little scarce lately and would rather not elaborate but needed to stop in and say Hi

It was good to see you in your photo David, ya handsome Ol' Devil you Glad you had a nice visit with the Grandchildren. It's always good to see them and we're due for a visit ourselves.
It was nice to hear you discovered that you really love scratch building John. My favorite part of Model Railroading as well.
Good to hear you didn't get the blunt of the storm Kevin. Judy was offered a free round trip all exclusive hotel vacation to Orlando. Why the Hilton is offering her this Employee Appreciation during hurricane season we have no idea? We thaught she was valued as a good employee more than that She's checking into an alternate time arrangement.

We are a big fan of apple cider over here Bear. We have an apple orchard we go to every fall to get a fresh Honeycrisp batch. It has a label stating non-pasteurized as recommended by the FDA or something like that. It's the good stuff
The snow plow project sounds like it's coming along great Dave I hope you will take this in a humorous way as I'd often hear my brother-in-law the mechanic say....."Sometimes You Just Need a Little More Lube" ...

Good morning Diners. A large coffee please, Chloe.
It's the last day of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Celebrations.
The grandchildren have all gone home. They are back at school tomorrow.
Dawn and i are taking the day at an easy pace. An afternoon in the train rioom is calling.
Stay Safe Everyone.

Chloe, I would like a big slice of Cherry Pie. Please add a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
It sure has been a quiet day around here...
Good morning everyone. I ordered a bowl of shredded wheat and a cup of black coffee to start the day.
The storm went by with nothing to report. My little weather station only recorded a 20 MPH wind gust. No where near what was predicted. None of the trash was blown around on the street. No tree branches are down. Almost all the water has drained away.
My weather station did record 6.5" of rainfall in the last 24 hours. That was a soaking. For a while yesterday the whole street was submerged.
On towards the day...
Good morning. Bacon, eggs, and black coffee, please.
Maybe the neighbors are some of the Queen's subjects, shooting fireworks to celebrate.
As far as rain, our radar shows we are having rain, while the driveway and ground outside are completely dry.
Another busy day scheduled, and continuing through the next week. I thought retirement was supposed to be leisurely.
Hope everyone has a great day today.
Good morning Diners. A large Amaretto Coffee and Cream please, Brunhilda.
The third day of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Celebrations. Beacons lit around the country. The grandchildren will be on Bouncy Castles etc.. Tea and cakes etc. for us a bit older. Dawn and I will celebrate from the comfort of home. No fireworks though.
A number of people are having challenges with health issues. A speedy recovery to all. Stay safe.

JaBearHow about a cider, instead?
Thanks for the cider Bear.
It is 4:00 AM, no wind and only a light rain. I took my trash cans down to the roadside for pick up tomorrow.
I will find out in the morning if that was a good idea.
It looks like everything has passed on the radar.
It is late, so I am going to bed.
I will see you all tomorrow.
SeeYou190I didn't know it was World Cider Day! I should have bought some fireworks!

It has been raining here all day. The moment the rain stopped, the fireworks went up. They were waiting for a break. It has to be important for some reason.
We had some fireworks this (Friday) evening also. An ethnic holiday perhaps? Or possibly trying out last year’s fireworks in preparation for the 4th.
According to NOAA,the storm has not made landfall yet. This disagrees with local reporting. NOAA says to expect winds to increase at 2:00 AM, and the storm to land at 7:00 AM.
For some reason three or four houses in the neighborhood just started sending up fireworks.
That is unusual.
There must be a celebration for something. This was too synchronized to be random.

This is what was forecast for this time:
It is not raining at all right now.
