I am going to work up a list of antique malls that I am aware of that have Train booths. I traveled quite a bit. Maybe we all can add to the list.
Casey Jones was on Shadeland, just north a few blocks from where Train Central is today. It was north of the Hostess bread factory if my memory is right, I was very young when that was open. Casey Jones was gone by the time I could drive and was allowed to drive to Indy on my own. I was just at TC today to assist a friend with his very first brass purchase.
Silly NT's, I have Asperger's Syndrome
spe3376 SeeYou190 Yes, the retail outlet of Dan's Trains was one of the best places to visit of all time. Back then Florida had Orange Blossom Hobbies, Colonial Photo & Hobby, and The Happy Hobo. Hobby shopping was so much fun.

Warrick was a serious destination for the live-steamers. Back in the day, there were two hobby shops in Florida that handled live steam (7-1/2" Ga) products. Warrick on the East Coast, and Wayside Locomotive Shop in Gainesville.
I loved them both.
Of course, we also had the live steam locomotive shops in Six-Gun Territory, Busch Gardens, and Walt Disney World. I was fortunate enough to be able to visit all three.

That reminds me- there was another one up on Shadeland at one point Big Boy Hobbies (is that still around?) along with a N scale one not too far away. Train Central is a great store and Wayne is a great guy. I didn't get to pop in the last time we were in Indiana.

Train Central is a Must-Stop when in Indiana.
There used to be Mort's N scale shop on Penditon Pike someplace. I remember it but not exactly where it was. Its fun to thumb thru old magazines and see what shops each town had at various times in history. Sadly most are gone, just like all the great ads in the magazine for brass trains. There was also Big Boy Hobbies, not sure if it survives or not, the train selection was not that good, was more models and RC stuff.

In the early 2000's Big Boy had a decent supply of kits- that gradually tapered down in favor of the other stuff and I stopped going.
The last time I was at Big Boy was in 2018.
I had some time to kill before going back to the airport to catch my plane.
They did not have much train stuff, but I found a ton of old Floquil Railroad Colors still on the shelf. It was all good finds.
