The Mabuchi SF266SA will work nicely in a Rivarossi articulated.  Dual motors work much better but requires a lot of mods.  All Rivarossi articulateds have some wobble caused by the single motor driveline, dual motors stop the wobble.

EDIT:

Here is a link to a post on my Blog of a Rivarossi Y6B with a Canon EN22 motor install.  The Mabuchi motor is slightly shorter and can be made even shorter by removing the plastic endbell on the motor.  The specs on the Mabuchi are the same as the Canon.

So I take it that ibuy one of these, and put the drivline holder on it by glueing it or something, than it should work?

for any clarification I need a spare motor to install.

1 more thing. Do you know where i can find bushings and springs for the rivarossi motor in the mallet?

Thanks!

My email is in my Profile, send me your phone number and I’ll give you a call.  Much easier than this way.

I’ve remotored over 20 Rivarossi articulateds, all run better than new.
