In this video I explain how I'm currently operating my layout, despite it only being about 50 percent built. Enjoy...

Nice for a start. What do you plan to do in the next few years? Attend College, get a job, live with your parents?

Putting that much effort into an immovable object when moves within the next five years seems likely is... well close to what I did anyway.

My layout is now in a 24' x 27' room and runs on three levels, but then I havent moved in the last 40 years, and as a monk I have a vow of stability in any case so my moving anywhere is not going to happen. Although I have been told that the whole thing will be thrown out after I die, that is not too much of an immediate concern.

Good Luck with Your layout, and on the rest of your future... Sometimes being 14 again appeals to me, although the idea of that appals others around here.

Thanks for the comments, guys. Lion, I am planning on finishing the layout before I move out, and hopefully it will look good enough (scenery) and if they finally decide to build a garage, they will keep it up. I assembled it in sections so it will be moveable, but I highly doubt I'll have room for it whenever I'm going for several years.
