Hi all,
I bought one of these rare modern sleeper cars from Amtrak's 40th Anniversary Train back in 2011. Walthers made this car exclusively for Amtrak to sell on this train over a decade ago now. Young me only bought one at the time but now that I finally am building a modern HO layout I would love to find two more. I check eBay and some other sites regularly but would love your guys feedback on where I might have better luck, especially if you're wanting to get rid of one! :)
Thanks all for any help and guidance!

They are, unfortunately, next to impossible to find and Walthers seems disinterested in doing another run.
Patience and deep pockets are the only things that can help. I've never even seen one in person.
Hi there, yea I have one, never even opened the box when I bought until I found more to go with it. When I was in the 40th Anniversary Store I debated how many I should get when an endless supply sat right in front of me all those years ago now, little did I know....
I guess what I have is an earlier run [6091?]? Silver paint, not plated:

Somebody could probably talk me out of it with a little arm twisting
Cheers, Ed
Hey Ed! Looking good, yes these are the Phase IV Viewliners that Walthers made in mass, I have two of those myself. the Phase IVb sleepers have the modern travelmark logo that we see out on the road today and were only made for the 40th anniversary store to be sold by Amtrak... :)
