doctorwayne wants to see an "E".

PC101
Now lets see an "N".

Hey hey hey, no jumping letters on my watch... "F" comes after "E" in these parts.

Laugh

"F" as in FLORIDA EAST COAST. This scene is on the Orlando N-Trak Club's N scale sectional train show layout.

Now let's see a "G".

On to anything displaying the letter D, please.

While searching for a letter D, I was surprised by their scarcity on my layout...

Apparently just 4 out of approximately 400.

Wayne

While I could probably bury this thread with Es, I'll defer...please show us an "E".

Laugh It is a single deck, but there might be extra jokers! Laugh

You have so many creative names, you could keep this thread going by yourself with this topic for several days.

And I would have done it too!

BATMAN
Please be quick with a "B"

B is for BNSF. This colorful main street scene is on the HO scale BNSF layout in the Chicago Museum Of Science And Industry.

Show me the letter "C".

Here is my last contribution for fictional names. Kevin will recorgnize the boxcar.

Kevin has been suggesting it is time for a change. So, let's get started with our ABC's.

Please show a road name beginning with the letter, A.

How about The Acme Coorperation.  Serving Coyotes for 75 years.

I should've known that a plant producing rocket powered roller skates and industrial horseshoe magnets would be pretty big.

I like the switcher.

I did not see where Shane made a new request, so fictcious names are still on the menu.

Here is a classic, backdated for use in 1954:

How about The Acme Coorperation.  Serving Coyotes for 75 years.     And a Husky Belt RR MP15AC kicking cars around the plant

There is a story behind the creation of the plant.

More fantasy names, please.

The fictional PERRINS CASCADE AND NORTHERN is on a beautiful display inside the Roundhouse Museum at the DURANGO AND SILVERTON narrow gauge railroad in Durango, Colorado.

This model might be the tiniest 2-8-0 that I have ever seen.

Please show another fictional name.

Back when I used to go to every train show I could, and saw all the layouts on display, the "Hoffa Cement" company was all over the place.

I never cared for the joke, but I must admit, it always drew attention and points from the crowds. I guess that means it is successful.

This version is on the HO scale modular train show layout built by the Pasco County Model Railroaders.

Please show me another fictional name.

More fictitious names, please.

I asked my brother to do the artwork for a number of decal sets that I wanted made by Rail Graphics, to honour a departed friend.  I had canvassed my fellow modellers in my "home" forum, and had enough sets made for all who were interested, selling them at cost.

The response was excellent, as he was well-respected, and I made certain that I had a good representation of his planned, but never realised, rolling stock....

He didn't like it because I split the roadname off onto both sides of the door.

Don't dispair. He voted down my diamond emblem, too.

 NWP_1a by Edmund, on Flickr

His request was to have a diamond with a bar through it. I was sort of inspired by the old Illinois Central Green Diamond.

The NORTHWESTERN PACIFIC/SOUTHWESTERN PACIFIC:

That's old young Steven's railroad, isn't it?

Yes, he once asked for suggestions on how to use such a long roadname on a freight car, so I painted one up as an example.

He didn't like it because I split the roadname off onto both sides of the door. He also did not approve of my changing of the reporting marks from NWP/SWP to NSWP.

Hey, that just rolls off the tongue, sorta like the — East Tennessee & Western North Carolina railroad...

A good slogan? Every Which Way but Loose?
