Did Atlas Make Tracks ? / Questions re: N Scale Co

Hello all, around September of last year I placed an order for Atlas's new code 55 track. I ordered flex track and turnouts for my new layout from Standard Hobby Supply, a reputable resaler whom I've done business with many times in the past. Here it is May 2002 and still no track has arrived. Standard Hobby Supply continues to acknowledge my back order, so I know there was not a foul up in their system. Did Atlas announce the availability track a bit prematurely? Does anyone reading this thread know if there is a problem or delay of some kind in the distribution?
