I love all the movies about trains and movies with trains .... I was wondering if any of you guys liked doing that sort of thing.

There was an old movie on the TV other night, which I can't remember the title of.   It was supposed to be 1960 about a woman wanted by the bad guys (the mob maybe in this case?) and she was escaping on a train with her newly wed husband.  Scenes in the dining car and comparments and running up and down the corridors.  Scenes getting people on and off the car.  They would continually cut away and show the train rushing by on its way. The catch is that almost every time they did that or stopped at a station it was a different train.    I noticed Illinois Central, Southern Pacific Daylight, Amtrak, and some fluted side stainless (Santa Fe, CB&Q, ??).  In the final fight scene they ran up to the locomotive and climbed on.   It was some sort of swicher with Alco trucks.

To model that "train" would have needed a whole collection of things!

My two favorites are the complete train from Emperor of the North, of which the 19 is now in the railroad museum over in Ohio undergoing full restoration to operation.  And the movie Silver Streak,  Which was shot on the CP Rail on Kicking Horse pass.  With a pair of FP7's with 4070 in the lead.  Rapido did nice versions of those but I may use an older brass model as most of my stuff just is for looks and not running.  All CP rail paint except for the AMroad that covers the CP rail lettering on the sides.    Mike the Aspie

Silly NT's, I have Asperger's Syndrome
