I am sorry to learn of Larry's passing - - a true gentleman and knowledgeable model railroader. I always enjoyed my exchanges with Larry on the forum. He will truly be missed, and his name should be included and placed high on the RIP Track in the Diner.

This is very sad news.
Sincere condolences and prayers for Brakie's children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The obituary is very nicely written. The funereal home explains how people may choose the honor Larry with a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project, a worthwhile charity.
Wayne ... Thanks for informing us.

I agree, his real-life experience was very valuable. The Prototype information thread just won't be the same without him. Sympathies to his family and friends.

Very, very sad news.
I'll miss you Brakie and your real railroading experience. It was really entertaining to read.

Well dang . . .
Larry always chimed in with useful information and advice. He had solid credentials in the 1:1 world and the model world.

Aww....shucks!!! Another of our long-standing friends has left us.
I got the strong impression early that Larry was a leader who probably cut a pretty wide swath. He ran his own forum, if I have that right, or did at one time. I also know that he was in generally iffy health the past 12-15 years, and probably on borrowed time. I would be upset to learn he was a COVID statistic.
Larry knew his stuff, and shared it widely when it was right to do. He also helped to keep this place on an even keel at times, interjecting with some well-tempered and wise remarks. I will miss him, as I do all the other 'greats' who graced us with their time, their talents, and their treasures.
God REST Brakie.

I, too, had just checked his profile a few days ago while looking at some past threads.
I always looked forward to hearing his insight from a railroader's point of view. A fellow Ohioan as well.
He sure loved his "ISLs"
Rest in peace Brakie, Larry.
Regards, Ed
He was missed. And will be missed in the future. RIP Larry.

Since it had been so long since Brakie was around, I kind of thought this was the case.
Thank you for letting us know Wayne. This is sad news.
I am 100% in favor of adding him to the RIP Track.

Living the dream.
I was worried when I had not seen Larry around the various online hangouts that we both visited. He seemed to be such a kind gentle soul and I had the opportunity to share many private communications with him over the years. He was a forum member that I had hoped to meet in person one day.
Thanks Wayne.

DoctorWayne,
Thank you for letting us know. I was just wondering yesterday where he has been. He used to also post on another fourm that I follow and he had not been there for some time either. I will miss him as he had been a big help to me and a lot of others in the past. Prayers for his family.
Ralph
I am very saddened to report that Brakie has taken the last train to what I hope will be a better place. Obituary of Larry Morgan aka "Brakie" Wayne
